Sunsetting Gridset

Posted on by Nathan

Well, Gridset has run its course as a product.

When we built and launched Gridset, we wanted to help people break out of the typical 960px, 12-column frameworks that we believed were stifling web design creativity. Over the years, many people got on board with our little idea, and we appreciated every one of you.

That was nearly six years ago, and the web moves fast! Now, browsers provide native ways to explore and build layouts. To get up to speed – and even master these tools, I highly recommend these two resources:

Here is what you need to know about your account:

  1. Your account will be active until July 31st, 2018. Please sign in at to download anything you want to keep. After July 31st, your Gridset content – including CSS, JavaScript, and Sass – will not be accessible.
  2. If you have any sites that are using CSS or JavaScript hosted at, please make sure to download the necessary files and host them on your own site. We will remind you again before that date.
  3. We have terminated all subscriptions, so you will not be charged again. We are refunding your last monthly payment, or a pro-rated amount to the end of your annual term. If you do not see a refund on your statement in the next 14 days, please email before July 31st.

Also, until July 31st, everything you create is free! (And everything you have created, as well.) So go to town, while you can.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email

Thank you for your support over the years. Now go out and keep making the web beautiful!
